Welcome to Impactful Tennis!
Impactful Tennis enables high school varsity tennis players to make a positive impact in the community by offering tennis lessons to 7-13 year olds in exchange for a charitable donation.
The Impactful Tennis team has given 342 lessons and raised over $14,000 for Meals on Wheels Diablo Region to aid homebound and vulnerable seniors in Contra Costa county.
Meals on Wheels is experiencing a 40% increase in requests due to the pandemic. The organization provides 7 nutritious meals/week, companionship, and services for seniors to address issues with housing, elder abuse, long-term care, and/or depression.
"Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is so grateful to the Impactful Tennis volunteer instructors, parents and students. Your donations help us to continue to deliver meals and services to vulnerable seniors, so they can remain safe and healthy in their homes with dignity. Without our meal deliveries, many seniors would go hungry. We are so honored to be chosen by Impactful Tennis as its charity of choice. It really means the world to us that the next generation of leaders is concerned about the challenges our elders face every day. Thank you!" - Caitlyn Sly, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region

Lessons will resume Summer 2021. If you are interested in lessons, please complete a registration form to be added to our email list.
Lessons take place on public and private tennis courts in Lamorinda. Lessons are 45 minutes. Social distancing will be adhered to based on USTA guidelines. Spacing of 6 feet apart will be maintained and only the instructor will touch equipment used in the lesson. In beginner lessons, students will not touch the tennis balls. In more advanced lessons, students will bring their own marked balls. Only private lessons are available (no groups).
All money raised goes directly to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region through Impactful Tennis' GoFundMe page. Requested donation per individual lesson is $30 or more. An increased donation is appreciated for a lesson shared by siblings.
